In September 2010 the EMALI network will organize in Barcelona:
- from September 23rd to 25th 2010, an International Meeting on Engineering, Manipulation, and Characterization of Quantum States of Matter and Light.
This event marks the end of the very successful Research Training Network EMALI funded by the EU. In addition to the presentation of results from EMALI work by the group of EMALI-trained fellows, confirmed speakers from outside the network are Jean Dalibard, Jeff Kimble, Andreas Wallraff and Christaine Koch. Furthermore, the program includes the following speakers, who are members of the network: Ennio Arimondo, Michael Fleischhauer, Atac Imamoglu, Giovanna Morigi, David Petrosyan, Eugene Polzik, Ferdinand Schmidt-Kaler, Nikolay Vitanov, Ian Walmsley, and Anton Zeilinger. Researchers interested in participating should register through this website, and are invited to submit an abstract for a poster presentation.
- on September 23rd 2010, the Final EMALI Business Meeting. Scientists in Charge and key network related personnel from the partner groups are expected to attend. EMALI-fellows are invited to participate.

The registration deadline has been extended to July 31st.Registration is open to researchers from outside the network. Anyone interested in participating is invited to submit an abstract for a poster presentation.
Some financial assistance is still available for student participants from outside the EMALI network. For more information, please contact the organisers.
